The first pattern of our 12 Days of Christmas Crochet-a-Long was first featured on The Hook Nook Blog, on December 1st. The Snowman Hand Puppet pattern can still be found there, as well as all their Yummy yarn to use for making it! It can also be found below, and worsted weight yarn will work just as well. The Hook Nook Yummy yarn will just make it a much softer puppet, if you’d ever like to try it out!

dec – decrease, combine 2 sts into only 1 st

Notes: The body of the Snowman Hand Puppet is worked from the top down, in the rnd, with no joining. The stick arms, hat, carrot nose, and the charcoal buttons and eyes, are made separately and sewn on. Pages 2-4 are printer-friendly, with just the written pattern. Page 5 contains process pictures to better help with the steps.

Size: This is one size, fitting child through adult, but if you wish to make it smaller for a smaller child to play with, simply tighten the gauge or go down a hook size.

Gauge: 6 sts across and 7 rnds down = approximately 2 inches
