When I saw that JoAnn's had these beautiful yarn cakes, with long transitioning colors, I had to work up a project with them! It was so nice not to have to worry about changing colors or weaving in a bunch of ends, and still get a great color changing look with this ripple pattern!
I felt especially connected to this yarn when I checked the label, and realized that Premier Yarns is located in North Carolina, just down the road from where we first begin our family, one of my all-time favorite places! Ahhhh, memories of warmth and sunshine, and very short winters...but I digress! ;-)
I love all things mermaid, and this design has been floating around my head for months! There are many wonderful mermaid bag options out there! However, I really wanted the tail to be more of a central focus, rather than just hanging at the bottom. It took some work to design it just the way I like, but I really love the way it turned out!
Here are the materials you will need for this pattern:
Premier Yarns Sweet Roll, Frosty Swirl (affiliate link)

7 inch, all-purpose zipper in matching color
2 antique purse rings, about 1.5 inches in diameter

Sewing machine for sewing the lining together is helpful, but it can be done by hand!
